[Snowshoeing north of 60 creates some stylish hair]

Richard Cook and Alix MacKay from our team has just returned from travels to the Northwest Territories to conduct a site visit and participate in community engagement efforts for our latest project in the North.

Greeted with temperatures of down to -51 celsius, the trip was a success – from snowshoeing on a frozen Great Slave Lake to check out the project site at North Arm Territorial Park, to meeting with First Nations community members in Behchokǫ̀. The only spot they didn’t have time to check out is the local “Y-Kea”.

We look forward to developing a plan for North Arm Territorial Park that supports a diverse range of user groups, from visitors coming to see the aurora borealis to local residents out for a summer picnic in the midnight sun.
