Town of Okotoks Cremation Garden Design

In 2016, the LEES + Associates design team worked with the Town of Okotoks, Alberta to plan and design a new cremation garden at the Okotoks Cemetery. The cremation garden was tendered in 2017 and opened in June 2018. Here are a few photos from the opening.

We are pleased to see the site looking so good! Especially the sculptural weathering steel memorial walls, and community and family columbaria by Sunset Memorial & Stone, who were kind enough to share these photos and the short video below with us. Well done everyone!

Cochrane Cemetery Master Plan Accepted

The Cochrane Cemetery Master Plan reached a milestone on Monday Nov 14 when Town Council unanimously adopted the new master plan and cemetery bylaw. The master plan aims to create a cemetery with a beautiful, park-like setting, diversify the range of interment options and reflect the unique character and heritage of Cochrane.

According to the Cochrane Times;
