With a background in both architecture and landscape architecture, Caleb is a Landscape Designer who brings a holistic approach to the design of built environments. He has worked across scales and disciplines, developing a skill for working with detail in the context of larger design moves. Growing up in a small town in the British Columbia Interior, Caleb is passionate about meaningful design in rural and underserved communities.
Recently completing a UBC Masters in Architecture and Landscape Architecture with honours, Caleb received the RAIC student medal and the Durante Kreuk Prize for his academic work. His approach to design is steeped in the integration of ecological, social, and material processes, envisioning living landscapes and structures that respond to site context and change over time.
Kendra is an accomplished design professional with a colourful multidisciplinary background spanning landscape architecture, communications, project management, and small-scale agriculture. This combination has developed a sensitivity and deep curiosity for community, culture, and relation to the natural world. Her ongoing research in values-based coastal adaptation design informs a forward-looking practice. She takes a systems-thinking approach which centres cultural understanding and meaningful connections with stakeholders as integral to the design process. Her technical skills in detail design and visualization amplify the unique stories and character of the communities she serves.
Kendra has contributed to infrastructure and community projects, including the Kelowna Mill Site waterfront development, Surrey Langley SkyTrain infrastructure, and New Surrey Hospital and BC Cancer Centre landscape design. Her research interests focus on innovative approaches to urban design, such as coastal adaptation, green rainwater infrastructure, and regenerative planting strategies.
Leigh is a Registered Professional Planner and Landscape Architect with 18 years of diverse experience in both public and private sectors. With a background in Fine Arts, Geography and Landscape Architecture, Leigh specializes in stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, and landscape design. Leigh has led key trail initiatives, including the E&N Rail Trail and Trans Canada Trail connections, municipal park and trail strategic plans, as well as complex land development applications from rezoning through construction. Passionate about collaborative planning, Leigh works closely with clients, stakeholders, and the public to deliver high-quality, sustainable design solutions that promote environmental protection and community wellness.
Sam holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Science from the University of British Columbia. His multidisciplinary background includes work in ecological research, forestry, arboriculture, and outdoor recreation development. As an avid outdoors enthusiast, Sam is passionate about creating opportunities to explore natural landscapes through sustainable recreation amenities, a quality expressed through his work as a volunteer trail builder.
Jan is a Landscape Designer experienced with bringing projects from conceptual design through to construction. With a multidisciplinary background in landscape architectural technology and environmental sciences, she brings a well-rounded approach to her work.
She has worked on a variety of projects ranging from private residential to commercial and mixed-use developments involving green infrastructure, open spaces, and outdoor programming. As a nature enthusiast who enjoys hiking and bird-watching. Jan is passionate about design from an experiential perspective and achieving the balance between the built environment and its local ecologies.
Christen is a Landscape Designer who brings innovative perspectives to recreational landscapes through her background in industrial design and an ongoing interest in material qualities and landscape construction methods. Incorporating design, art, and theory as methods for her work, Christen is driven to explore how landscapes access and alter the emotional realms of their inhabitants.
With experience in graphic communication visual communication design, urban design, and intermedia art, Christen uses her technical and creative skills to explore opportunities in the landscape and design spaces imbued with meaning.
