LEES+Associates has undertaken a range of “Needs Assessments” for communities across Canada. The examined criteria for social need varies significantly in breadth and depth. Generally, our needs assessments have included a comprehensive review of a municipality or region’s expected demand for cemetery and crematorium services over 25 to 50 years and compared it to the available supply and quality of service in the community.

With remarkable experience working in the cemetery industry and a keen interest in sustainable design, Adam is committed to the effective integration of sustainable practices in cemetery planning and design. He also spent time abroad as an intern studying the impact of tourism on sensitive coastal ecosystems in the Caribbean.

The American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) held its annual meeting and expo in New Orleans recently. Billed as the largest gathering of landscape architecture professionals and students in the world, this year’s events included several education sessions and tours, workshops, networking and a large exhibition.

Construction is underway to complete the final phase of the new Section T area at Royal Oak Burial Park in Victoria, BC.
With LEES+Associates acting as lead consultant, this project includes landscape architectural, civil engineering, tender and contract administration, and required site services through construction.
The Cochrane Cemetery Master Plan reached a milestone on Monday Nov 14 when Town Council unanimously adopted the new master plan and cemetery bylaw. The master plan aims to create a cemetery with a beautiful, park-like setting, diversify the range of interment options and reflect the unique character and heritage of Cochrane.
